In other words, it knows when to turn on, right when your spa needs more chlorine. When it turns off, it will be off until it detects that it needs more chlorine, preventing overchlorination. SmarterSpa eliminates the guesswork. SmarterSpa features two components: an easy-to-use control box that can be mounted to your spa's skirt and a drape-over electrode. Since it drapes straight into the main body of water, you don't need to modify your spa or hot tub. Add 1.5 pounds of salt per 100 gallons of water, and then place the electrode in the tub. From there, just plug the power supply into a wall outlet, and your SmarterSpa is ready to generate chlorine! For larger spas (1,200 gallons and larger), ControlOMatic also offers the MegaChlor-CD, which has all the same features as the SmarterSpa plus faster chlorine production.
